'S,wrlsma14sl11,v plus character - ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION The Athletic Association ol Seton affords students who are athletically inclined the opportunity for lun and relaxation while developing qualities of loyalty, cooperation, leadership, and sportsmanship. Stress is laid on intramural activities and during the year team sports and individual sports are conducted alter class hours. Because of its many and varied activities and its large membership, the AA exerts a great influence on all students. Whether it be playing on class or varsity teams or being an enthusiastic spectator, character development is taking place amid enjoyable circumstances. Patricia Gamber, president, takes the attendance ofthe team before basketball practice. af -wb Officers examine some of the equipment of the physical education department. Their Biological Experiments, Thoughts, and Observations assist them to learn more about and to appreciate more intensely the wonders of God's creation. Trips to the Johns Hopkins Botanical Gardens and to the Maryland University Research Laboratory, scientific plays and skits, proiects displayed and demonstrated for Open House Night, Research Laboratory tilms--all help to make the BETO Club both instructive and enjoyable. Mary Lou Williams, president, prepares a slide to study the structure of an onion skin. sc What makes Willie tick?
