S-.ff STUDENT COUNCIL As every organization needs order and government, the Student Council has been established to foster and promote interest in student government at Seton High School. its aim is to mold character and to prepare each student to take her place as a good citizen of the American government. This Council is comprised of representatives, chosen by the students themselves, who strive to promote a better understanding of the obligations and privileges of democratic government among the students, Council members take a pledge to obey and uphold the laws and regulations. Although ever vigilant, the Council conducts an annual coopera- tion drive during which time rules and regulations are stressed and student loyalty emphasized. The Honor Court, which is a branch of the Student Council, holds court twice a week during which time those sections or individuals who have been penalized for misde- meanors have the opportunity to plead their case. There were a few nightmarish events such as the belated arrival of the April issue, the seemingly untillable little, or more often, big white spaces which always cropped up. The trip to New York for the CSPA Convention in March, the Journalism Club party, and the final issue of SHN in May brought the year to a memorable climax. ,..,,l Y Mary Pat Talbott-News Editor Diane Hoynie-Editorial Editor Joan Messer-Feature Editor Donna Strazilr-Sports Editor Ls i 1 E56 'fr 'P 'N 4 , l l -,CM sc,,,, , f -4.g4,,,, X'-as ff - Sister Dorothy Marie, moderator, Celeste Schimunelc, Sue Nevin, and A periodical job of the business staff is the distribution of the paper Gloria Ciekot, assistant page editors, seem justly proud of their eltorts Dolores Rybak, Phyliss Pleiss, Margaret Poehler, Theresa Sallustlo as they inspect a recent issue of the Seton High News.
