T . pg K iff 1 if CHILDREN OF MARY Established at Seton in 1948, the Children ot Mary is one of the most important organizations. Its aim is personal sanctitico- tiong its motto, To Jesus through Mary , its insignia, the Miraculous Medal. The association is the fulfillment of a desire expressed by Blessed Mother to St. Catherine Laboure for such an organization. Through the study af Mary, students learn to possess Christ by leading a more interior life and then to radiate Him to others through good example. On entering this organiza- tion, one must remain an aspirant from February to the following December and promise to say the daily Rosary and receive weekly Holy Communion. Among other things, the Little Oftice of the Blessed Mother is recited at the monthly meeting held in the auditorium. Mary has claimed every Child of Mary as her own in a special way, and they in turn show their love for their Mother by faithfully living up to their promises and by endeavoring to be Mary-like in all things. ,JN ,ap-1 presidentg Agatha Deluca, secretary, Catherine Elliott, treasurer, check Children of Mary attendance records. E7reely yell have reeeieeet freely give. Generous mission-minded Setonites line up for the annual Palm Sunday Mission Rally at the Cathedral. Regina Zawaclci, president, is anxiously counting the votes that will decide who is to be Queen of Hearts. Officers of the C.S.M.C. count daily returns which will bring ioy and happiness to the missions in Bolivia. Jean Cirelli, recording secretary: Patricia Kaerner, vice president, Marilyn Klappenberger, treasurer. Regina Zawacki receives the Paladin Jewel at the annual Mission Rally, Patricia Koerner was awarded the Arch- bishop's Medal. SETON UNIT-C.S.M.C. A sense of charity is instilled in the heart of every Setonite through the untiring eHorts of the representatives of the Catholic Students Mission Crusade. On three different occasions over S1200 was collected. For the Propagation of the Faith, the Bolivian Missions of the Daughters of Charity for which the Queen of Hearts contest was sponsored, and for the Bishops Relief Fund all gave generously. From the sale of Christmas cards S700 was realized. Approximately 8,000 Green Scapulars were made and distributed. For the Jesuit Missions, hundreds of greeting cards were sent to India and about 400 books to Africa. A total of approximately 2,000 Miraculous Medals were dis- tributed. The Seton Unit was hostess at a Local Conference on January 11, and on Palm Sunday members took part in the annual rally at the Cathedral. Members of the court followed by Constance Dougherty, crown bearer, and Patricia Dalcshaw, Queen of Hearts, ascend the steps to the stage for the Act of Consecration.
