Christ, ever present in the tabernacle in the auditorium as well as in the Chapel, whispers to each heart, urging her to contemplate her faults and to make resolutions for the future. If properly used, the retreat should help every Setonite to become a model Catholic girl, Instructional and educational talks were given by the Reverend John Hardy, C.M., retreat master, which left much to reflect upon. The annual retreat came to a successful close on January 28 with Benediction of the Most Blessed Sacrament and the Papal Blessing. The Reverend Michael J. O'Brien, C.M,, elevates the Most Blessed Sacrament at the closing of the annual retreat. Father O'Brien distributes Holy Communion to members of the student body at the close of the retreat.

J-fe spake and into every heart his Wards carried new strength and courage MONSIGNOR DUGGAN Although comparatively few Setonites claim SS Philip and James as their parish, because of its prax- imity to school many can truly call it their second parish. Thus was it fitting that the student body should welcome in a special manner the newly-appointed pastor of SS Philip and James, the Right Reverend Monsignor John J. Duggan. At a special assembly held on December 7, Gayl Carre, president of the Leaders Club, welcomed Monsignor Duggan on behalf of the student body. Expressing his appreciation, Monsignor Duggan assured Setonites that they were most welcome at SS Philip and James and asked prayers for the work of the parish. 's N.......,.
