Seton High School, Auditorium Building Foreword Seton built a new school during the year that this book was assembled. Each day as the girls came and went, they glanced across the campus or out the windows to make at least a mental note of the day's progress on the construction. They witnessed two million dollars in labor and materials expended to give them the very best in educational oppor- tunities under the direction of the Sisters of Charity. Seton Memories for 1956 is a record of Seton life during construction year. Some classrooms pic- tured on these pages will never echo another year of excited freshman or senior voices, for the memory-filled chapel building will be razed as soon as the new structure is ready for occupancy. This book lies in the hands of its reader by no feat of magic. It holds the patient and persevering efforts of twelve Seton girls who spent extra hours after school measuring and cutting pictures, pasting panels, collecting information and writing copy. They offer this book as a tribute and final memoir of one glorious sunset in Seton education.
