FOREWORD “The purpose of education is self-realization ” — John Dewey Seton Hall University provides its students with the means of self-realization through the interaction of a broad range of undergraduates, an enlightened faculty, a varied cultural program, and an effective offering of co-curricular activities. The focus of these primary forces in the univer- sity setting is the development of an individual who, at the end of four years of study and of personal involvement, has become better prepared to live in the world. The 1967 Galleon chronicles one year of edu- cation at Seton Hall. Succeeding chapters will be written by the graduates themselves, for education is a life long process.
