EDITOR’S FOREWORD A. seed of thought . . . majestic portals ... a path strewn with fallen leaves . . . cobbled chapel steps . . . years of univer- sity life. These are trying times. Ardent moments when a man’s principles are dear to him. Irascible intervals when many misunder- stand and few probe to answer. Moment- ous instants when his thoughts should not be suppressed or stifled, but should rather be enlightened or cultivated. This is the critical period when man searches for himself. This is the fervent time when man must realize the impor- tance of sincerity. He must impose this virtue in all things, and ultimately unmask this goodness in himself. For to truly find himself, he must be completely sincere. These are college years. We know of this ever-changing existence which at one time or another touches the height of achievement and feels the nip of disap- pointment, the exhilaration of learning and the tension of challenge. These are college years. They belong to every generation. Now they are ours. These are college years. The times when each man continues in search of himself. This quest is as much spiritual as it is physi- cal, as much academic as it is practical. These are the college years; when words like sincerity and dedication take on new, deeper, and even more significant meanings.
