has been worthy of dedications in the past and ivho will be equally deserving of those still to come . The kind of person of which we speak is easily discernible . Very simply , he is the good person , the man who cares . And as such , he is outstanding . It is difficult to enumerate the reasons for his special greatness or to point out the qualities that make him so. He merely comes upon the scene and one just knows. This is a good man. This is a great man. We have such men on this campus. There are such men in this world. We can only hope that they shall ■-- - prevail. It is our ernest intention to honor these men and , therefore , we humbly dedicate this book to them , to the good men , to the people who care.

DEDICATION It has often been the custom to dedicate the yearbook to some outstanding person who fired the imaginations and stirred the hearts of the university’ s graduates . This eminent individual was usually singled out from among his peers because of some merit achieved , some service rendered , or some success attained . It was then deemed most befitting that he should be honored with the yearbook dedication . This year , too , there are members of the university body who have achieved a merit , rendered a service , or attained a success worthy of a similar dedica- tion . But is it truly the desire of the graduating class to honor this particular individual or to extol that particular person? Or , rather , do we wish to express our admiration for a certain kind of person? The kind of person who
