THE REVEREND WILLIAM P. FURLONG, A.B., A.M. Vice-President Steeped in the traditions of Seton Hall after attending the college in 1927 and subsequent studies at Darlington Seminary, the Reverend William F. Furlong received his Holy Orders in 1932. Specializing in Sixteenth Century literature, he took his Master of Arts degree at Columbia University, and shortly thereafter joined the faculty of Seton Hall College ' s English Department. It was in 1945 that he was selected for his first administrative post when Monsignor Kelley named him Dean of the College. Rendering outstanding work in that position, he was elevated to the Vice-Presidency of the rapidly expanding college the following year. Since then, despite pressing duties, Father Furlong still finds time to interview members of the faculty and student body. His patience and understanding is as endless as his humor.
