Fl-XTHEH DUFFY DURING the twenty-four years of his asso- ciation with Seton Hall, Father Duiiy has labored unceasingly in the interests of the students. He has always been a guiding light to troubled boys who have sought his kind person for advice. lt is difficult to bid farewell to anyone who has been so close to you during your years of development in character and spiritual life. It is even more difficult when that person to whom you are to say good- bye is a man who has endeared himself to thousands of students. We shall miss you Father Duffy, but we shall never forget you. Tnohv was ordained in 1949 upon com- pletion of his studies at Seton Hall University and Immaculate Conception Seminary. His first assignment was to Seton Hall Prep, Where he served as Head of the fylassical Lancynaaes De- partment from 1940 to 1943. In 1943 he joined the Navy, serving as a Marine Corps chaplain in the Pacific area. After three years of service, he returned to Seton Hall Prep and was an pointed Assistant Headmaster. He served in this office nniil 1953, when he was named Headmaster to succeed Reverf end Williarn l. Duffy. We, the Class of 1953, deem it a privileae to welcome Rever- end Thomas I. Tnohv as our new Headmaster. We extend our sincere conaratnlations and pray God that He may bless yon: administration.
