Natural and Physical Sciences Science at Servite is extended over a period of three years of study offering the student a choice of Intro- ductory Physical Science, Biology, Chemistry, Phy- sics and the Advanced Chemistry Institute. Students can likewise be selected to lx participants in the Science Seminar. These studies combine the latest developments in the substantive and environmental dimensions of science education with the latest devel- opments in the use of laboratory techniques and instru- mentation. The goal of science at Servite is to allow young men to use their natural faculties to discover the physical and biological laws and thus come through creation to know and love God the more. The student endowed with faith, therefore, sees science as God revealing Himself in nature. He thus not only experi- ences in the study of science the joy of intellectual accomplishment, but he also knows another facet of God revealing His love for man.

Religion and Counseling The Religious Studies and activities at Servite, as in any Catholic High School is the Raison de' Etre of Catholic Education. Since it is relegated to a sub-standard course in many instances, our purpose here is to make Religion the vital and im- portant position it deserves. Our religious studies are so designed as to give a good background of Christian Life as seen in the lives of Great Per- sons in the past, be they Biblical, ancient or modern; be they philosophers, peasants, psy- chologists or saints. The Christian Principles are also studied from the vantage point of lit- erature and science. There are also Liturgical and Missionary activities which the students participate in, to give them the sense ol Re- ligious Action they need. Servite, during the past year, also broadened its Counseling Pro- gram which provided more opportunities for the department to have private interviews with cacli Servite student.
