Director of Guidance Father George Luznicky directs a coun- selling program which offers many aids to the Servite student. The Servite program provides every student assistance in selec- ting a career and in choosing the right col- lege. Father George helps the student make those difficult decisions by offering him a battery of tests followed by personal inter- views. Servite counselling offers the senior an additional program in preparation for marriage. Perhaps the most ambitious program under Father George's direction involves coun- selling students with personal problems. The students have learned to rely upon Father George. 12 Father George checking the files for Miss Roche. Parents also find a down to earth friend in Father George. Father Donovan and Brother Tim also give advice to the entire stu- dent body. 13 joPtFTHKibj: I TERRENCE AITKEN Cee Football 1; JV 2; Varsity 3-4; Varsity Club 3-4. The team, led by senior co-captains Mike Rossiter and Tim F raw ley, started the season on a high note by capturing fifth place in the team stand- ings at the C.I. F. relays at El Segundo High School. This was accomplished through first, second, and fifth place finishes. The first place in the breaststroke relay also accounted for a new C.I.F. record as Dan Frawley, Jim Stoneman, Steve McElrath, and Jim Wallace improved the previous record by four seconds. This became the fourth C.I.F. record currently credited to Servite. The Friars then opened the regular season with victories over former C.I.F. champion California and La Mirada, Norwalk Fermiti Lasuen, and Savannah High Schools. It was at the Redlands relays that Servite contributed one of itfc most Outstanding per- formances.
