This new group, known to all as Library Club, has been most active. The mem- bers have been busy sel- ling posters during lunch modules, advising teach- ers of artistic designs for bulletin boards, and pre- senting an entertaining puppet show to the grade school. Student Librarians Student Librarians is an important and helpful organization. The members guide the students as to the proper use of the library and its materials. National Honor Society in- ducted its new members during the first month of school. Because of this, on- fe ly juniors and seniors are eligible. Throughout the year, members sold tickets at basketball games and wrestling matches, worked in the office, and partici- Pated in the annual Easter -es , 1-...k.as'f' Seal Drive. At the end of the wug-dj--QP year the members celebrated by attending their annual Greg Sheedy, Dave Tuntland, Judy Morel, Jane Larson, Mr. Hurt. banquet. ,1 Q, 'lf' ' FRONT ROW: Steve Richard, Archie Kieth, Travis Stockley, Dave Tuntland, Sue Stecher, Jim Larson, Matt Crackel, Mike Johnson, Greg Sheedy, ROW 2: Mary Glover, Mrs. Marshall, Sherri Petersen, Jean Rohrer, Jana Hiland, Sherri Thompson, Jeannie Wright, Pauline Berggren, LaDonna O'Flanagan, Kent Butterfield, John Nitiss, Mr. Hurt, ROW 3: Anne Jones, Teresa Hall, Carol Farley, Jane Nelson, Carol Jacobs, Nancy Rohrer, Carol Bat- tles, Judy Cantlin, Karen Wiley, Betty Glover, BACK ROW: Gary Taylor, Betty Temple, Debbie Krug, Jane Lar- son, Pat Connolly, Brian Wright, Rachel Larson, Ken Larson. lo si Eel Flashback Staff The yearbook staff has put in a year of hard unrernitting labor. Another reason for the winning record was improved participation and enthusiastic spectators. The Grapplers' schedule will be different next year from those of past years' so as to enable the team to wrestle every team in our Class A District. Coach Swank said that next year will be a year of rebuilding and that in two years we will have an excellent team because of the experienced fresh- men and sophomores we have. E fi fi NL? 1974 Junior-Senior Prom Me Ke Aloha This year's prom was held in the ballroom at NIU, May 4, 1974, at 6:00 P.M. We were greeted by South Sea Islanders and dinner followed soon after. Entertainment was provided by native dances, skits, and a song. Afterwards, the dance followed, and then, the highlight of the evening - the crowning of the king and queen with their court. ,. n ' Zi i v v 1- f all Y I tiff' k , 1 A X I W-I f 5 V 5 , ,g 1'5 5 I K ,A 5- ' W, , I, fp I. wi f, ' 2 4 1. They soon learned that the words merci and pardon were musts and that quickness was necessary in order to get on and off the Metro safely. The group saw the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, the Arch of Triumph, Montmarte, the Follies, Notre Dame, Versailles, the rural town of Chantilly, and numerous other points of interest. It was a tremendously educational trip that allowed the students to experience for themselves a different culture. 57 Back Stage I 1 59 ,.,,,' . ye, . we , we jc A wif? n gg, 3 S 'SG ' Vw ..., .QJ'1'1,. 234. ,,, I H, was ,, .
