SEQUOYAH! You are now holding in your hands the 1974 PHOENIX. There are only 1,200 of these in existence and you are the owner of one. Lucky you! It took 863 hours of labor, 647 miles of travel, and 10,991 dollars to bring this book to you. We have tried to show all the emotions and feelings of this past year. So friends, here it is. All 276 pages, filled with Magic Moments. What is left for us to say? The rest is left to you. Take it, look at it, smile, laugh, maybe even cry a little. But we sincerely hope you have as much fun looking at this book as we have had putting it together. You would not be looking through your PHOENIX if it were not for the people who follow. Taking a few lines to recognize them is but a small gesture of thanks for the many hours of dedication each of them put in to bring this book to you. First, we must thank the staff. Although this is one of the youngest staffs the school ever had, it was one of the smartest. Each of them knew what and how things needed to be done. Our sponsor, Mrs. Entrekin, has been with the book for four years and with her came financial security for the PHOENIX. Mrs. Entrekin is not only an advisor, but an understanding friend ready to share our successes as well as our problems. Our publishing company representative this year was Mr. Bill Wolfe. His encouragement, together with his knowledge of yearbooks, makes him the best in his business. His unending help throughout the year has been greatly appreciated. NOW the purpose of a gas station on Sunday is to pump up bike tires. 10 years ago as NOW, people laughed people cried children smiled children frowned people loved, people hated people believed, (as they still do) in MAGIC.
