LITERARY MAGAZINE REFLECTS CREATIVITY AT SAHS They said it couldn't be done . . . they said nobody could do it . . . N This was uttered by literary magazine staffers after the first edition of their creative masterpiece. This was truly a year of growth for the magazine. It pre- sents not only short stories, poems, and essays written by students, but their art work as well. Had it not been for the endless and timely encouragement and help of Mrs. Stur- chio, the sponsor, the magazine might never have material- i ized. Despite the rushing and frustrations, however, it was finished, and sent off to the publishers on time. David Clevenger, Editor. KNEELING: -Richard Paul, David Clevenger. FALCON CRIER INFORMS STUDENTS SAHS has passed through a banner year. To keep pace with the great school spirit, THE FALCON CRIER has changed itself completely. Sailing easily through financial straits, the paper has upgraded both its writing and appearance, using an entirely new format. Miss DiBlasio, the new sponsor, brought an influx of fresh ideas which greatly rsised the calibre of the schoo newspaper. Everyone agrees-it was a banner year for THE FALCON CRIER, too. l

Since then, the society has granted more than 7,500 charters to high schools, one of them granted to Seoul American High School in 1961 and again activated last spring. Membership in the Quill and Scroll is restricted to students in the Junior and Senior classes. The candidates at SAHS must also be members of the CHOSUN or Falcon Crier staffs.
