200 Classes Daily Mr. Brookic's auto-mechanics course, one of the most popular in the school, offers practical training for boys interested in entering the field. Mr. Cusker, chairman of the science de partment, has a genuine interest in his students and their parents. He feels the most important addition to the biology classes is the BSCS text book which is oriented around a central theme of ecology, the relationship between a living thing and its environment. Sentinel is in the process of expanding course offerings. The administration and faculty would like to develop a humanities class which would cover art, music, and literature. A forestry course is being considered, and at the present time the vocational agriculture department is using 80 acres given it at Fort Missoula.

Coordinating Committee Curricula of Both Guides Buildings Mr. Harold Herbig jokes with some of his students as he explains the piece of music they are learning. The biggest Orchestra projects this year were the State Orchestra Festival in Great Falls, the Mossiah, and the Spring Concert. Mr. Lyle Leischner, Sentinel chemistry teacher, assists one of his students in an experiment. Mr. Leischner, Mr. Wilson, and Mr. Miller conduct 12 chemistry classes each day because both seniors and juniors are enrolled in the course this year. The curriculum coordinating committee, under the guidance of Mr. Bewley, is an innovation for the high school. It consists of three teachers from each of the buildings elected by the faculty.
