Samoa, QIoaa, The class of 1957, distinguished as the fiftieth MCHS graduating class, was the first group to be graduated from the South Avenue building. In order to raise money for the Senior Banquet, a dance and reception, and all other activities during Senior Week, the group sold hot chocolate, coffee and popcorn at all home football games. They also sold Christmas cards. The class sponsored a dance, the Senior Sock Hop, in the fall, and had its annual assembly in the spring.
