Miss Erma Monroe is in charae ot all qirls' physical edu' cation. Besides teachina various sports durina school hours, she supervises badminton, tennis, archery and several other sports. She also sponsors the G. A. A., which awards M s to qirls outstandina in athletics. For the past two years she has helped with the tollc dances in the operettas. Enerijetic head of the Enqlish department is Miss Lyle M. Noble. She is in charqe of the annual extemporaneous essay contest here, a state-wide event. Her students are juniors and freshmenp her interests, stafje and drama. Mr. Millard E. Peterson is in charqe of boys' bioloqy. An outstandinq feature in his classroom is an aquarium contain' ina many different species of fish of which he is very proud. Aniona his hobbies he lists paintinq and music. The taslc of vocational counseling qoes to Miss Audrey Proctor, auidance teacher. lnterest in her work led her to Co- lumbia University, where she received her Master's deqree in guidance. She also primes freshmen in algebra. Students puzzled about their vocations find her suggestions helpful. Be tween equations and student conferences, she plays badmin' ton, hunts and reads more books about quidance. Miss Grace Ryon, who teaches freshmen their Et tu Bruteus, is perhaps the faculty's most enthusiastic cosmopolite. She has been abroad and has probably traveled more than any other member of our faculty. Miss Ryon enjoys the psy- choloaical hobby of studying interesting people. Miss Agnes Scott. English teacher, received her Masters dearee last summer. She tends freshmen and sophomores in l l l sc ioog p ants outside of school. Miss Scott is quiet dislikes imiiiscliewiiitj pupils. She claims she has no spare time for outside interests with the exception ot summer motor trips. The 'Worlds Fair is this years objective. DIRECTORS
