in review At the great Junior Dance in the boys' gym, Carol Goldberg was crowned queen of the class .... Promotions were in order in january with our principal, Mr. Wilson, topping the list be- cause of his new position as Superintendent of Elementary Schools of District 8 on the South Side .... The upper ten per cent of the jan- uary Graduating Class was honored at a spe- cial assembly .... The big night finally arrived, the Prom was here, and it fulfilled our greatest hopes .... It was one of the most beautiful ever .... The Senior luncheon Yum Yum' was terrific at the Edgewater Beach and we were inspired by Ron Herr's impressive speech. . . . Grease Paint Follies proved to be one of the Players' biggest hits and then remember the election? The Chorus put on another su- perb assembly .... The freezing winter finally passed and it began to get warmer again .... The fellows began to meet their girls and walk them home .... Remember how nice it all looked, and then the big day arrived .... The Forum was out and the alumni were back to get their copies .... The night of the Senior Prom was near and the air seemed to grow more and more balmy .... Finally graduation came and went and as we look back we think, Boy, that was a great year! 7 xg, ,R Q X ,A

790-797 This was really a great year in Senn's annals. It started off in grand style by the success of the Friday Night Dances sponsored by the P. T. A. Harry Barry and Phil Herman alternated in providing us with dreamy music and a bundle of laffs .... Our dark horse football team sur- prised everybody and garnered third place in the rough North Section and ended the season with that thrilling last minute victory over Schurz . . . the big bang everybody got at the Open House .... Next the Players presented Curse You jack Daltonn and followed it up with American Very Earlyf '... How proud the teachers looked as they strutted down the aisle, heads up high, during the Armistice Day assembly .... Then the shock of the death of our Engineer-Custodian, Mr. Charles E. Dris- coll, who had served Senn for over thirty years. . . . Mr. Magic of Senn chopping off an un- known teacher's head and the oh's and ah's from the audience as it fell .... Then on serv everybody as the Green and White present Senn Goes Back to the Cavef '... The Big Christmas assemblies by the Chorus and Players inspired all .... The smiles that wreathed the faces of the King and Queen of the Holly Hop, l'Happy Jacobson and Karen Engberg. . . . Ethereal music drifted through the halls as the choristers gave their interpretations of favorite carols .... Our seniors fought hard, but couldn't keep up with an aggressive DuSable quintet in the I.I.T .... 6
