The club has many other aims besides being a profitable activity for leisure time. The Bridge Club helps build oneis character, it increases deductive thinking abilities and gives the members real satisfaction and knowledge. Under the sponsorship and help of Miss May L. While some of the members kept careful data on the experiment of cultivating two headed planaria, others were kept occupied with microscope work, making frog skeletons, raising Albino corn, and feeding lizards and minnows. 112

Wahlstrom Nelson Grenlie 8. Daniels Mathiesen Sherman r The 1951 Bowling Club was a great success. Membership, totaling ninety, was the largest since the club's beginning, six years ago. As members of the American Bowling Con- gress, the teams are permitted to compete in the intercity club events during the Christmas holi- days, and in the National event in March. This National event is for the city high schools, the winner being given a 351000 scholarship to the school of his choice. I-Iealthful recreation, fun, and sportsmanship are furnished to all members. The club bowls Wednesday afternoon at the Uptown Bowl, under the sponsorship of Mrs. Walter. OM!
