JANUARY CLASS, 1943 january classes although diminutive in sive have always overcome this deficiency by their overwhelming vivaciousness and personality. The january class of 1943 has proved to be no exception. With students such as President George Huys, Vice-President Allene Ander- son, Secretary Joanne Newton, Treasurer Eugene johnson, and Marshal judge Martin Daneman occupying executive positions, the class did not fail to live up to a high standard. Throughout the entire semester the ever active class participated in school wartime activities, giving much to an all-out effort. The entire class gathered in the svelte Marine Dining Room of the Edge- water Beach Hotel on Thursday, january 28, where the efforts of the Luncheon Co-chairmen Juanita Glover and George Felt were rewarded by the satisfaction and pleasure derived from the gala affair. Not to be outdone by these hard- working seniors, Alumni Chairman Mary jane Friberg successfully completed duties of her position. Not a little credit belongs to two outstanding behind-the-lines figures, Dr. Zimmerman, Class Adviser, and Principal Davidson for sound advice and understanding cooperation. Page Eighteen
