SENN ORCHESTRA 'TV The orchestra was almost entirely new this year with a large influx of players from the grade schools. Confronted with the task of playing the Mikado in October, these players came through with Hying colors. The Christmas and other assemblies showed their capabilities and revealed the orchestra as an organization always on the job. In January was organized The Orchestra Clinic at Lane High school and the Senn Orchestra led hy Dr. Burkholder played before a large representation of conductors from all over the country. Mr. Davidson has invited the orchestra to appear at many of the district grade schools this Spring including Swift, Peirce, Hayt, Daniel Boone, Stewart, and others. The object was to develop better relations and to encourage the musical groups in these schools. The Annual Contest and Spring: Festival were highlights in May and June and the orchestra took a leading part in these activities. Dr. Burkholdcr is to he commended on his fine leadership.
