RICHARD WARNER President IAMES MILLER Vice-President IUNE SALZMAN RICHARD DIETE ROSALYN FRIEDLANDER Secretary Treasurer All School Council I lanuary, 1938, Class The last semester of the Ianuary, 1938, graduating class is memorable for at that time Senn opened its Silver Iubilee year. On a twelve hour notice, the school opened Thursday, September 16, the delayed open- ing being due to the infantile paralysis epi- demic. Class officers were elected promptly. Rich- ard Warner, Iames Miller, Iune Salzman, Richard Diete, and Rosalyn Friedlander got the All School Council under way, with the help of Principal Davidson. Football came charging in with a team that won the North Section Championship. Ooohi Senn, three thousand strong, Watched Austin nose out Senn for city championship. More school spirit bubbled over as the Thanksgiving and Christmas funds in- creased over those of other years. Charity begins at Senn, Senn Hall was packed as the Players turned on dramatic talent in Pride and Prejudice! Then came basketball with two fighting teams in Green and White. The Senior Prom at the beautiful Grand Ballroom of the Knickerbocker Hotel was a never to be forgotten event. The Senior Luncheon-the last complete gathering of class and teachers was an illustrious event. Graduation, Speeches, Music, Tears and Diplomas made a glorious ending to high school careers of the Class of Ianuary, 1938. Page 17
