The students learn the basics such as making hospital beds, sponge baths, taking blood pres- sure, and reading thermometers. Then, they go beyond the basics and learn CPR. They practice the recessitation on the CPR dum- mies. The students also learn the Latin prefixes, suffixes, and root words for the medical terms that they need to know. Health occupations is certainly a worthwhile course, even if you are not planning to go into medi- cine.
