The Speaking Eagles This Year was perhaps the best year SV's Forensics team has had. The Math Team, represented by stu- dents from all classes, competed against four other teams in meets held every other week. Five members made up the A-team, whose scores counted for the actual competion, while the scores from the rest of the members QB-team1 counted toward individual achieve- ment. At the end of the season the team attended the Wootton Invitation- al, where 22 schools were represented. Seneca Valley finished 12th. The cap- tains, Steve Ervin and Rajesh Patel, were extremely impressed with the perfor- mance ofthe sophomore members and predict an outstanding team for next year. 11 The Math Team Members First row: Rajesh Patel, Steve Ervin. Led by Mr. Bokansky, members of the com- puter club met to discuss programs they had created, and to gain more of an awareness of the computer itself. 21 Amy Caplan is proud to be a member in one of Seneca's more popular clubs this year. 31 Christie Nguyen types up the program she wrote on the computer. 41 Mr. Bokansky is one of the teachers who led the computer club this year. What is leopar- dy? Wrong. What is Dynasty? Wrong. What is lt'5 AcademiC? That's right, and is it any wonder? It's Aca- demic combines the immediate excite- ment of sky-diving with the long term security of a good IRA account. The team representing Seneca Valley is made up of three seniors: Sam Kim, Mark Leonard, and john Mingus the Captain. There are also dozens of faith- ful supporters - the little people without whose help, the success of the team would not have been possible.
