German Club V Seneca Valley's German Club, spon- sored by Frau Hunter, had a very event- ful year. One important service they performed was raising funds for the Foreign Language Computer through the sale of Toblerones. Third: Sumita Guntakata, Missy HOGBY, Wendy Oakey, Leigh Rubinstein, Anne Schindler, Stephanie Kantor, Miss P. Magee. The Latin Club at Seneca Valley had another successful year. Although the club only had three classes of Latin stu- dents to draw from, it was not lacking in membership. The members enjoyed participating in activities such as a trip to a Greek restaurant. French Club The Seneca Valley French club was sponsored by Madame A. Dudley. This group of students met every two weeks to plan their various activities, including after school movie parties, home par- ties, and trips to French restaurants. This club was a good opportunity for students to get together and enjoy a little French culture. 11 The French Club Members First Row: Grace Chou, Susan Schima, loe Maguire. S The 1984-1985 school year marked the second year of the existence of the Spanish Club at Seneca Valley. Last year's president senior Brad Rosenthal, was elected to serve another term, and senior Thanh Nga Burrell was selected as vice-president. Students in the Span- ish Club were brought together by a mutual love for, and appreciation of, the language. Russian Club The Seneca Valley Russian Club met once a week to plan various activities after school. This club was an opportu- nity for the members to get together outside of the class and speak Russian. For the past two years, the Space Shuttle Team has been developing a project to be launched on a future shuttle mission. The project, deemed SPAM lSeneca Polyethylene Agravity Meltl, involves the melting and recrys- talling of polyethylene in zero-gravity. The group hopes to find that the forma- tion of the crystals is more uniform without gravity, thus creating a stronger plastic. Mrs Cox is the sponsor for this group of highly motivated young scientists. RussianfSpace Shuttle 21 The Space Shuttle Team Members I First row: Tonya Lewerenz, Mark Bykoski, lon Kay, julia Shaver.
