Dr. Bogar, along with student director, Sheila Brady, directed one of Seneca Val- ley's greatest musical creations yet, Sweet Charity. All of the dance numbers were choreographed by Sandy joseph and the dance captain, Caroline Cash. Caroline also played one of the lead roles, Helene, along with senior, Michelle Gomez who played Nikki. The starring role, Charity, was played by Susan Fazackerley, who had the dedication and energy it took to, not only do a superb job as Charity, but to hold the cast and crew together through- out the entire show. Together, these three worked hard to give the show its polished effect. Charles Foster played the male lead, Oscar. Char participated in the- ater all three years that he was at Seneca, and lent his experience to the entire cast to help perfect this musical masterpiece. The orchestra, led by Mr. jim Heier, and the vocals by Mr. john Scott. Not only were those on stage a neces- sary asset to the show, but also those who worked to build the set, run lights and sound, get props, fit costumes maintain publicity, and work the scene changes. Kicking It Off With The Octoberfest Dance Club kicked off the 1984-1985 school year with the Octoberfest in Germantown. From polkas to break- dancing, the performance was full of excitement and had a touch of some- thing for everyone. Before these danc- ing feet could rest it was onto the year's Dance Club show entitled We Got the Beat. Long hours of work coupled with a hectic pace were overcome by a unique enthusiastic team spirit produc- ing a colorful panache of dance rhythms for each generation making this a show to remember. The finale of the year was the Drama Department's production of Gypsy under the direction of Dr. Tom Bogar and choreographed by Sandra joseph and Camille Catchpole. Everyone involved in Dance Club has generously contributed his and her time and energy helping Dance Club to go on without missing a beat! 17 Here's the Dance Club on stage! 2?
