A The Performing Arts and Music awards ceremony was held in May to award outstanding students in those fields. All students worked extremely hard in their area and should be con- gratulated for their fine accomplish- ments.

N H S Induction + Award Ceremony The National Honor Society Induc- tion was held in March. The ceremony consisted of Mrs. Bell and the officers giving a short speech and the inductees reciting the Honor Society oath. There were fifty-six new members inducted this year. The requirements for the Honor So- ciety are a grade point average of 3.5 and having leadership and scholastic qualities. All of the applications were reviewed by a faculty committee and they chose the new members. The in- ductees were given a flower to let them know they had been chosen.

W V ' it H ix' ff: .,,yK,,MwwMwfmmm'r?'i7 WOC Banquet 'I Kelly Cassaway, Earl Young and Dorthea Rob- erts have been outstanding members of WOC. 2 Kelli Lawson tells of her experiences in the WOC program. 3 Stephanie Frazier is proud to be a member of WOC. 4 Sharon jones and guest share a quiet moment at the WOC banquet. 5 Kim Moore has enjoyed being a part of WOC. 6 Proud friends and parents enjoying the dinner and conversation. 7 Tony Davis receives his WOC certificate of achievement. As in the part ten years, the 1985 WOC banquet was a great success, The dinner was planned and paid for by the WOC students, who attended along with their parents, employers and guests. Work Oriented Curriculum is possible only through the helpful support and leadership of Nancy Kemp, Terry Changuris, Beaufort McLaughlin and Barbara DiLuchio. WOC is a co- operative education program that has as a goal the development of both specific and general skills which facilitate upgrading on the job. The banquet offered its attendants good food, entertainment, and recognition for the hard work that these students perform all year.
