Homecoming In the midst of the Homecoming fes- tivities at Seneca, another exciting event was also in progress - Seneca's golf team was on its way to capturing its Second State Title in three years. The team was the top qualifier in the District Tournament, and on October 25 and 26, 1984, four members of the team, Clare Dolan, Ed Dolan, john Nel- son, and Steve Van Zutphen, traveled to the University of Maryland to partici- pate in the state tournament. They competed against the best golf- ers in the state and came out with a three stroke lead after the first day. Clare Dolan paced the team with a score of 74, followed by lohn Nelson and Ed Dolan, each with a score of 80, and Steve Van Zutphen came in with an 83.
