The Seniors show their school spirit with a number one float. l.V. Cheerleaders lead the crowd in an S.V. cheer. 2 0-'i .-A We .Vet is S gf.. rM,,,,.,,, ..,, Seneca Goes Hollywood was the theme for this year's homecoming. The sophomores were assigned Westerns, the juniors had Science-Fiction movies and the seniors got Horror films. The week was a festive one, with the school brimming over with enthusiasm and spirit. For each day of the week, there was a new style of dress. Monday, people sported the laid back look with their hats and shades. Tuesday, was the day for digging into the back of mom's clos- et to find some loud, tacky clothes. A Hawaiian theme ruled on Wednesday, with leis, sandals and bright flowered shirts and shorts. Monsters, Martians and cowboys were walking the halls on Thursday, as each class dressed up for it's own theme. Finally, Friday was Green 81 Gold day. One of the highpoints of Homecom- ing week is always the decorated halls, and this' year was no exception. By Tuesday, all of the weeks of planning and hours of setting up paid off. Stu- dents and teachers were greeted with Michelle Mason, Shanita Bell and Carla Twyman-Good times last forever. Matt France and Tanya Wince share an in- timate moment. Homecoming In the midst of the Homecoming fes- tivities at Seneca, another exciting event was also in progress - Seneca's golf team was on its way to capturing its Second State Title in three years. The team was the top qualifier in the District Tournament, and on October 25 and 26, 1984, four members of the team, Clare Dolan, Ed Dolan, john Nel- son, and Steve Van Zutphen, traveled to the University of Maryland to partici- pate in the state tournament. They competed against the best golf- ers in the state and came out with a three stroke lead after the first day. Clare Dolan paced the team with a score of 74, followed by lohn Nelson and Ed Dolan, each with a score of 80, and Steve Van Zutphen came in with an 83.
