he Hard Work Pays Off .J .5444 Improving over last year's record, the girl's junior Varsity Volleyball team ended their season with nine wins and five losses. The girls worked extremely hard this year and played each game with great confidence. The girls learned that working hard can also be fun. Everyone had a good time on the court, which is very important in a team sport like volleyball. Coach Pam Greisler was very proud of their outstanding season, and knew it would be a winning one because the girls played like one big family. There was always a feeling of togetherness displayed on the court. Coach Greisler felt the team work which existed between the girls, not only on the court but off, was the most important factor in their key to success. N 2. U Y C Tough Season Girls Varsity Volleyball ended a tough season with a 0-14 record. There was only one returning player to varsity this year, making for more of a rebuild- ing season. Said Coach Miss Treado, lt is not how many we won or lost that we will remember, but how we played the game. Through team effort and deter- mination, the eagles held together while also creating fun and good times. The captain of the team was Reta Mar- tin, andthe co-captain was Nan Patton. Named Most Valuable Player was Nan Patton. The team is already looking for- ward to next season where they will be starting out with many returning play- ers. The girls volleyball team ended its season with an overall record of 0-14. BQ fa, ' 2 ,ff if fi f ' JW A 5 x r I X 1 Z ., ,, J 'ei ff l - 1 . Many of the runners were injured and coach Changruis had problems recruiting new members. The boys were lucky enough to feild a team but the girls had a problem only able to find four runners. The majior goal of the team was to develop the individual runner. They were very successful in doing so by gain- ing outstanding performances from all the runners in the various dual and invitatioinal meets. Also Sean Car- penter and Paige Pawlak qualified for the state meet. Mr. Changuris was very proud of all his runners and he felt the season was a great success due to the hard work and dedication each member put forth. l M ,.,3 'M' lyfffw ' ,fifk ,.. 'I .'
