-l Golf Takes State! This year's Golf Team was the strongest Seneca has seen yet. They finished with a final record of 19-1 and a first in the State Tournament. The top four players were Clare Dolan, Ed Dolan, john Nelson and Steve VanZutphen, with David Gu- larson and Randy Barnes as alternates. The State Tournament was a fantastic display of talent. This talent was evident through the entire season. . The team was very close, like a family. They supported and helped each other. The team had strength and depth, and that's what made this season a success! says Coach Tur- bull. There were some disappointing moments. These came when the undefeated team lost the last match of the regular season and when they lost the County Championships by one stroke. All in all, this team's success was one they and Seneca can be proud of. 'l. L to R, Back:Coach Turnbull, Ed Dolan, David Gularson, Randy Barnes, Chris Doser, Robert Young, Steve VanZutpen. U Y C Tough Season Girls Varsity Volleyball ended a tough season with a 0-14 record. There was only one returning player to varsity this year, making for more of a rebuild- ing season. Said Coach Miss Treado, lt is not how many we won or lost that we will remember, but how we played the game. Through team effort and deter- mination, the eagles held together while also creating fun and good times. The captain of the team was Reta Mar- tin, andthe co-captain was Nan Patton. Named Most Valuable Player was Nan Patton. The team is already looking for- ward to next season where they will be starting out with many returning play- ers. The girls volleyball team ended its season with an overall record of 0-14. BQ fa, ' 2 ,ff if fi f ' JW A 5 x r I X 1 Z ., ,, J 'ei ff l - 1 .
