juniors ,.,.A Someone famous once wrote that your youth was supposed to be the best time of your life. I think that our class of 86 has got the right idea. Many juniors are making their high school days the best time of their life by getting into some of the var- ious activities or groups here at Seneca Valley and outside of school. Many Juniors have a good time by joining a sports team or cheerleading while even more just like the excite- ment while watching those teams play. Those juniors that are not athletically inclined still find that Seneca Valley is an ex- citing place to be and that there is more to Seneca than sports. They join groups like the news- paper staff or one of the foreign language clubs. Outside of school we juniors spend a lot of our time at parties where we have good, clean fun. Since music is a major interest of many students here at Seneca, we also enjoy going to concerts like Bruce Springsteen Prince, or U2. Whatever they do for a good time the juniors are mak- ing their stay at Seneca Valley one of the best times of their e. As we all know, as juniors, our social life revolves around Seneca Valley and its halls. For many, coming to school is not a task but more like a time to see place to have a little fun. But for others, Seneca Valley is just an- other school. With more has- sles, and more work. As always the good out does the bad and we all know that Seneca is Pride of the Valley. The Long Haul This year has seen an increase in traffic in the halls between classes. Perhaps some people are too sensi- tive, but many people think that it is rude to stand and talk in a group in the middle of the hall while other people have to push and shove to get around. Even though those people who get slowed down in a traffic jam may make it to class on time it is still really irritating to have to stand be- hind a group of girls talking about the color of their nail polish when you could be getting some last min- ute studying done for your killer trigonometry test. These inconsider- ate people who don't keep things moving in the tight hallways also add to the problem of tardiness by wait- ing until the bell rings to break up their little groups and let people through to get to class. If anyone ever had to go to their locker on the other side of the school and back in between classes they know that it is a physical impossibility. These people should keep moving in the hallways so that the rest of the student body doesn't get fed up and start a riot. luniors

15: i W 117' :Z 1 Seneca Valley is a varitable melting pot of teenagers. Youths from different backgrounds, and even different coun- trys, come to school sporting outfits that show eaches individ- ual style. One of these variations is the country style. People wearing soft, comfortable jeans, flannel shirts and casual T-shirts. Groups such as Alabama, Hank Williams, lr., and Statler Bros., can be heard in common conversation among the country teens and their friends. Next are the new wavers. The new wavers and punks have often been confused, but they are very different. New wave teens wear bright electric colors and sports tails hanging form their heads. popular bands among new wavers are Frankie goes to Hollywood, Tears for Fears, Cyndi Lauper, etc. The punks in Seneca are few but closely knit. Punks wear Black and grey. Costume jewelery can be seen on punk girls arms. Spiked and colored hair is a trademark among punks also. Groups heard of in punk circles are Iron Cross, Violent Femmes, Exploited, anm a new up and coming band called Phlegm. 1. Shanti Parikh and Courtney Billups show their Class of '86 smiles 2.
