1. A Happy bunch, Paul Schrantz, Kathy Clark, Lynn King, Eric Folger. As all seniors learn, good things come to those who wait. By May 25, 1984, Seneca's graduating class had had enough of waiting, they were ready to partyl The excitement began to build as, one by one, rented limousines pulled up to the Bethesda Holiday Inn. Young men in tuxedos, all with newfound manners, helped their ladies from their cars. Slowly, the ballroom filled and the 1984 junior-Senior Prom began. This night was special to all involved and particularly for the four seniors whose hard work had made it all possi- ble. Senior class officers Missy Oahl, Tom Vander Ven, Gina Solis, and Shan- non Pella had put in many hours choos- ing the band, the location, arranging fund raisers, and working out all of the details of the Prom. The band played a wide variety of songs and everyone had a great time whether jammin' to rock and roll or sharing tender moments with their spe- cial someone during the band's slow dances. The king of the Prom was basketball star, Charlie Thomas, and his date Tonya Zarate, was the queen. The two of them made an adorable couple and were the perfect choice for king and queen. After the dance ended, the celebra- tion was still far from over, there were many more parties to attend, most of which went on till dawn. Many couples could be found the next morning in their tuxes and gowns, eating breakfast out with their dates. Some even drove to the beach, not so much for the meal, but more so to watch a romantic sunrise over the water. Any Senior Prom is a once-in-a-life- time experience but the 1984 graduat- ing class certainly made theirs one to remember. Student Life 11 Prom Queen Tonya Zarate. 2.
