Award of Excellence! Lauren-running to 7- 'l'l4 LAURICE CHOW ' Laurice is a senior who has made the most of her years at Seneca. Not only was she ac- tively involved in many extra- curricular activities, but she also received many awards for her academic achievements. Laurice was one of the six semifinalists in the 1985 Merit Scholarship Competition. She was recognized as a Maryland State Distinguished Scholar and also received the Harvard Book Club Award. ln spite of her busy academic schedule Laurice found time to become involved with school and community related activi- ties. She was in the Seneca Val- ley Marching!Concert Band for three years, as well as a member of the Montgomery County ju- nior Band and the Tien Yuen Youth Orchestra. She was also in the 1983 school musical stage crew and the 1984 Pit Orches- tra. Among her other achieve- ments were being a member of the lt's Academic Team, the Space Shuttle Team, the Math Team, the Talon staff, and the Literary Magazine staff. V' -134 gr john C.
