K J' on Nanto Before coming to Seneca, Ion tttended Pomana High School n Arvada, Colorado where he vas on the Varsity Diving Team. le was ranked 2nd best at his we s , 4 school and 11th best in his county. He was also involved with the Yearbook staff, news- paper staff, and was chosen to be a Yell-leader at his school. However, before the yell- leading season began, Ion moved to Gaithersburg. ln spite of being a new stu- dent at Seneca, Ion became quite involved in extra-curricu- lar activities during his junior year. He quickly became a member of the Dance Club, performed in Dance Shows, and performed in the 1984 spring musical Sweet Charity. He was also a member of the Varsity Diving Team. Ion was ranked 3rd in the county and 7th in the metros for his diving. In 12th grade, Ion became the first male cheerleader at Seneca Valley, He continued his activity in the Dance Club and also had a part in the Win- ter production of A Christmas Carol When asked what Ion likes best about Seneca he said, The fun and the sports program. I am also very pleased with the support of the student body for my being the first male yell- leader here. I fell like my school is proud of me and I am proud of it.
