SENECA SWEPT A WA Y? business owners of downtown Seneca formed a sandbag line to sandbag and block some of the incoming water. The schools were dismissed because the water levels made it impossible for people to go through. Extensive damage was also received by the baseball fields. The city as a whole received $25,000.00 in damages. By Sherry Enyart, Senior On Tuesday, September 30, 1986 the biggest flood to hit Seneca since July 4th, 1976 swept the town in a rising panic.
