Although the halls of SHS look the same as they did, many feet have trod the corridors, contributing to the growth and development of the school. The laughter of students has bounced and echoed through the halls, but the quiet of classes hard at work has also crept through the halls. The personalities of these students have seeped into SHS to create a unique character-- a mixture of the good, the fun-loving, the eager, and the studious. SHS has matured in both personality and curriculum. A spirited interest in our school world and a driving need to answer the challenge of the adult world have demanded that the course of study be improved. In addition each freshman class enters to obtain as much as is possible from SHS. Upon graduating that same class takes a part of SHS with it; but SHS retains more than has been taken away.

This year was basically the same as any high school year; we studied--had fun, experienced sad moments of trial and error. There were games and dances; voices were hoarse from Pep Club rooting and singing. There were brief moments of glory for some of us in sports, musical and dramatic productions. All shared the hopeless reality of examinations and deadlines, the semester grades, and the noon hour rush. These impressions are only a few that were packed into this full year. Credit for the production of this book goes to the WARRIOR Staff. The Staff, however, has furnished only the outlines of the story that we find when we turn these pages filled with warm smiles of friendship and many happy recollections. The rest is up to the individual. Underclassmen who return to SHS in the fall will continue to keep up the high standards of the school and strive for improvement. Graduates will go their separate ways using the knowledge they have gained here to reach their successes. It is not today that you will appreciate the WARRIOR. Tomorrow7, when it is not so easy to think back on 1967, we will treasure the moments that are Ours to Remember.
