Clarann Weis 1940-1965 A death angel walks the earth. He silently stole into our presence and then flitted back into eternity, carrying with him the soul of our beloved friend. He gently lifted her to a reserved niche in the arms of God. Where there was laughter there is silence; where there was a footstep there is an echo; where there was guidance there is remembrance; and where there was a spirit there is void. Her greatest concern was the task of enriching the minds of youth, yet het brief existence taught us the undying truths of life itself—of human kindness, love and understanding, and of will and determination. She lives arid breathes on this earth yet. A portion of her life is imbedded in the hearts of all who hold a memory. And until the last dim flames of our existence flicker into blackness, she shall survive. We, theAnnual Staff ofl964-65, sincerely dedicate the 1965 Warrior to our teacher and friend, Miss Clarann Weis.

WARRIOR STAFF FRONT ROW: Mr. Barton, Linda Cameron, Diane Kidwell, Gloria Bradshaw, Linda Montgomery, Nedolyn Sreaves, Mary Beth Brady. SECOND ROW: Connie Leader, Janet Strait, Nancy Silvey, Donna Burkhart, Yvonne McCallister, Dennis Crabtree, Joe Kupchin. NOT PRESENT: Brenda Davidson. Memories Everyone clings to memories whether they are pleasant or sad. The 1964-65 school year was filled with many events that will remain with us as memories for many years. High-topped boots, textured hose, long straight hair styles, Beatle” hair-cuts, short skirts, and skate boards are all fads that will be a part of our memories. Long-remembered too, will be the crowded halls between classes, the races to the lunch line at noon, the rush to get to class on time, and the sounds that all make up a normal school day at S.H.S. Sports played a big part in this school year, too. We were undefeated was the cry that rang out after football season ended. We won two tournaments in basketball and finished with a tie for second place in the conference. In the 1965 Warrior we have tried to capture these memories in pictures so that the 1964-1965 school year will be a long-remembered one to the students at S.H.S. Connie Leader EDITOR 2
