CARNIVAL KING ii ATTENDANTS .11 QUEEN A bigcrowd of oldster and youngsters alike paid the P.T.A. over a thousand dollars for an eve-niff of fun Thursday night. From the amount paid by Hallowe’en celebraters the P.T.A. happily wrote their bank book. 1911.11 after all expenses were palnd. Highlighting the evening was the coronation of Carnival Queen and King for 1844. As the moment arrived for the surprise crowning high school student . especially, became tense and restless In thejr anxiety over the outcome of tho election. Every class had worked hard In the support of their candidates and all felt certain their can- didate would come forth victorious. The Senior Class mas the victor Candidates from the other classes served as attendants for the new royalty and led the processional into the auditorium Nearing the stage, they stopped and formed an arch of crossed spears over the pathway of the king am queen, elect-Joyce Wallace and.Tom Leader Attendants for the newlv- ler t king and queen were: ML«s Kathleen Snow and Clifford Whitehead Miss Norma Head and Dwayne Hadley; Miss Imogens Testerman and Charles Fisher Crown bearers. Max Vowels and Vernell Stoner proceded the seniors os they marched onto the stage The setting for the crowning was a highly decorated stage. On either side of the throne were four columns and above the throne was a large brightly gllted crown. Mrs. Albert Tourtillott. president of the P. T. A., crowned the queen and king and then presented each wlthea lovely gift. Following the crowning. Miss Al-ita Davis sang. ‘A Heart That’s Free’’, and Miss Pat McKenna and Jimy Green danced for the Queen and King. Several car filled with Seneca football fan will attend the game to help cheer the boys along to another victory. A large. enthusiastic crowd turned out for the game last Friday night and saw an exciting game that made them glasL they a ere there. Hoffman caught a punt and handed it off to Mark Plummer who ran 70 yard for the st touchdown. Then Mark ran an off tackle play for the second touchdown. Ned Sayre threw a pa to Bob Vermillion in the end one for the third and final touchdown. Gaskin, a one-man cheering squad, kicked two out of three extra points.
