The Skins compiled a most impressive record, victorious in five of seven regular season meets and' achieving a high fourth place standing in the regional track competition. Their efforts were highlighted by a fine ninth place finish in the state AAA meet. leading the squad were Senior, Phil Thompson, who placed second in the state in the high-jump with a leap of 6 feet, Senior, Marshall Lawrence, who achieved a tie for second place in the pole vaulting competition with a mark of ll'6'7, and Junior, George Colbert, who nailed down fifth place in the 440 yard dash with an excellent time of 51.4 seconds.
