This year was a very special one for the Seneca East Music Department. The Senior Band and the Junior - Senior Girls Chorus went to District Contest and re- ceived a superior rating, making them el- igible to go State competition. There are many things which go into a I rating at State Contest. The judges listen for inton- ation, blend, a sense of expression, and a sense of balance and teamwork. One other thing that was essential for a I was pa- tience and help that Mr. Shank gave us. It is very rare when a band and chorus go to State Contest and come home with l's from every judge we had.
