Its purpose is to honor those students who are outstanding in the various fields of Journalism, and to encourage more efficient work in these fields. Candidates for Quill and Scroll may be elected from the staffs of the Newspaper or Yearbook. They must be of junior or senior classification. They must be in the upper third of their class in general scholastic stand- ing at the time of their electiong must have done superior work in writing, editing or business management: must be recommended by the school principal and yearbook advisor, and they must be approved by the Ex- ecutive Secretary of the Society.
