With my college education I thought I would work in a lab or maybe a mental institution but then I realized fgigglel there was a bit of a correlation between an institution and teaching at a public high school, so But seriously, SHS, as a whole is 'very nice', the students have great person- alities. She was married recently and although she and her hus- band have no children, they have a small family of pets. VVhen she is not busy withher American Literature, Compos- ition and Language classes, she is singing, playing the piano, or dabbling in painting and in stained glass.

I I s T f We - A , 'gut A-AWguw'1 ' 272 Faculty LIFESTYLES: SANTIAGO VIDAL I'd like to know at the present who is going to make history in the future -that is my goal in life. Mr. Vidal was born in Cuba where he stayed all his life until he came to the U.S. when he was 35. In Cuba he was a lawyer for two years, and a judge for nine years. He resigned as a judge in December 1961 because of Communism. Then he spent six months waiting for permission to move to the U.S. When he arrived, he taught at Boca Ciega for one year, at Admiral Farragut for three years, and then in 1967, he came to Seminole. Mr. Vidal teaches many classes of advanced Spanish. Mr. Vidal is the only native born Hispanic foreign language teacher at Seminole. His students thus have the advantage of increasing their fluency in a foreign language.
