It started rehearsals in the latter part of Ianuary and is now composed of forty pieces. This group plans to enter the State Contest and will be the only string department in this region. The Seminole Student Council was reorganized this year after an absence of four years. The Student Council was organized to give the student body the opportunity to express its will through representative practice and democratic procedure. Each home room has one representative and an alternate, elected each semester. The officers of the council are chosen by ballot of the entire student body. The council this year has attempted to control the hall traffic and the cafeteria line. lt has cooperated with the administration in an attempt to keep students from losing textbooks. The assembly programs have been found more successful after student council planning. Tentative plans for next year include fun niglrts and pamphlets for new students and freshmen.
