if .9 AOPLZCA Girls Chorus was organized in September, 1943, with fifty girls enrolled. Twenty-four of this group were selected for State Regional Competitions which were held in May, 1944. The Chorus received an A rating and were judged the best chorus of the day. In September, 1944, fifty-five girls enrolled for chorus. At the end of the semester Mrs. Smythe selected thirty-six girls for contest work. This group of girls will represent Seminole High School in the Regional Contest. ln December, 1944, the chorus presented a contata, Carols of Christmas. They also furnished programs for the Lions Club, Rotarians, Womens Church Federation, and assembly pro- grams for the high school. The chorus was combined with the band in several benefit concerts. Seminole High School is indeed fortunate to have Mrs. Glenn Smythe as choral director and the girls chorus has proved a valuable addition to our school. ' I5 f x ll' ! ll!
