THE 1979 INDIAN Seminole County High School Donalsonville, Georgia 27th Edition Director of the SCHS Marching Indians Mr. Robert Strickland The Annual staff proudly dedicates the 1979 annual to Mr Robert Strickland, director of the Seminole County Green Machine Mr Strickland is a valuable asset to our faculty, and we take this opportunity to honor him for his contributions to Seminole County High School He is a friend that is well liked and respected by all He has dedicated much time and effort into making our band one of the best in the state 3 2 REMINISCING Our days at Seminole County High will always have a special place in our hearts When we look back 10 or 15 years from now, we ll know that these were some of the most important years of our lives Our foundation for life was built here and when we look back at our high school days we ll realize that These years have helped us to grow in knowledge and experience It has been a time when we've had our share of victories and tears In the years to come, the annual will bring back old memories of our friends and achieve- ments Reminiscing those days will help us stay young at heart All those tests and lectures! Who can forget the many hours everyone has spent preparing for tests, reports, and finals. We would tell ourselves that we would study a week before the test. But. unfortunately, we would 5 Lunchtime will always have a place in our minds We either took off for home, sampled the hearty food in the lunchroom, or sometimes skipped lunch completely. 6 It was a time of relaxation and fun It was usually the best part of the whole day. More time was spent talking our lunch time away than eating The sweethearts were really fun to watch, weren't they? If you happened to be one of them, you were a person that was envied. Every chance they got, they would spend it together, even if it meant being late for 8 9 10 II Throughout the year, we experience many different feelings β€” joy, sadness, hope, and anxiety Our friends, emotions, and everyday events help to make the year worth remembering. The year would seem long 12 if we didn’t have our friends 13 CLASSESCLASSESCLASSESCLASS- CLASSESCLASSESCLASSESCLASS- CLASSESCLASSESCLASSESCLASS- SENIORS Terry James erry ] Monroe Clark I Bonβ„’ I 15 James Perry Barrmeau Harriet Faye Bell Monroe Clark Bonner Mary Lucille Fiveash Kay Franklin Marian Mane Freeman Susan Lorraine Glass Dale Roger Ingram Anmla Gay Hornaby Rebecca Ann Hornsby Mattie Lavene Johnson Jacquelyne Helen Johnson Debra Gail Jarvis Laiuanna Anne Ingram Eddie Frank Jones Bobbie Jean Jones Russ Elmer Johnson 20 JUNIORS Babs Adams Steven Alday Glena Archer Stan Arnold Gloria Baker Ricky Barber Sandra Barnes Donald Batchelor Andrea Battle Marilyn Billings Darion Bland Johnny Bowers John Brannon Shawn Brimlow Annette Broome Benny Bryant Juliette Bryant Victor Bryant Roy Buggs Becky Burke Mitchell Burke Christy Cannon Faith Carlton 37 Teresa Castleberry Judy Chancey Jimmy Cobb David Cole Charlene Collier Mae Sue Conoly Christa Cordell Pam Crosson Deborah Curies Nancy Davis Glenna Deaton Jimmy Dennis Greg Dixon Bemta Dobson Shelia Drake Debra Dukes Ten Dunlap Andy Dunn David Ellis Gina Eubanks 38 Wayne Faircloth Annie Doris Fedd Jennifer Felts Sarah Fleming Steve Freeman Jan Fowler Len Glover Laura Graham Mike Grant Anthony Greene Picture Not Available Picture Nat Available Samuel Groomes Sherry Guice Howard Gullette Chris Harper Al Harris Sue Harrison Mable Harvey Sarah Harvey Edith Henry Rhonda Herrin 39 Fan Hill Phyllis Hill Peggy Hines Jackie Hodge Scott Hooper Allan Hornsby Joe Hornsby Natalie Hornsby Janet Hopkins Janice Hunter Sandra Hunter Chris Ingraham Richard Johnson Amy Jones Brenda Jones Helon Jones Janet Jones Lisa Jones Came Key Tonya Lane Shawn Lewis Yutrela Lindsey Lucretia Luther 40 Helen Lynn Jan Mann Darlene Mathews Keith Mathis Amy McCormick Tracy McCracken Darry McDaniel John Messer Danny Miller Raymond Miller Steven Miller Ozzie Moore Josie Morris Paula Mosely Glenn Moulton Cindy Mullis Curt Murphy Shirley Murrell Steve Norris Anne Odom Anthony Oliver Morris Palmer Doug Parker 41 Betty Perry Clarence W Perry Bryan Pitts Lisa Pollard Kaye Posey Annie Grace Rambo Fannie Ray Ashley Register Tammy Register Shirley Reynolds Sophia Saulter Dean Seymour Teresa Simpson Angela Skipper Anthony Smith Tammy Smith David Spooner Jackie Stewart Bill Stuart Almisher Sweet Jeff Taylor Lurdell Thomas Penme Todd Owen Virgin Rachel Virgin Greg Whittaker Kennie Whittaker Jared Wildes Leasie Williams Susan Young 42 SOPHOMORES Debbie Adams Scott Addison Lamar Ash Tony Atkinson Fannie Barber Picture Not Available Picture Not Available Fredie Barber Gregory Barnes Bill Baxley Connell Bell Katrina Bennett Sheila Bland Vanessa Bledsoe Vieta Blue Patricia Bowers Janet Brackm β€’ Stephanie Brewer Shannon Bnmlow Elijah Brown Joseph Brown Ned Brown Brad Burke John Frank Camon Sonja Carson Carole Chancey Tim Cheeks James Childree 43 Doug Christian Barbara Coachman Ricky Coachman Brookie Conner Melvin Cook Terry Copeland Christine Corbett Bruce Cox Dennis Crawford Elise Crosson Priscilla Cummings Alto Daniels Richmond Daniels Archie Davis Cindy Davis Theresa Dixon Kaye Earnest Lisa Earnest Carol Easom Eric Elijah Ray Allen Elijah Robin Faircloth Henretta Fedd 44 Kevin Ford Gregory Fox Joseph Freeman. That is where it all begins for the band, but band activity definitely did not end there For there were athletic games, festival, parades, concerts, solos and ensembles, and fund raisers.
