THE 1975 INDIAN Seminole County High Donalsonville Georgia 23rd Edition WE MAY NEVER PASS THIS WAY AGAIN Like the twilight in the road up ahead they don't see just where we're goin'. I wanna laugh while the laughing is easy; I wanna cry . . . if it makes it worthwhile. We may never pass this way again We, the annual staff, dedicate the 1975 Indian to Mrs. Charles Bridges, Miss Lib , and Mr. B. B. Baker, Fess”. They may never pass this way again, but by passing through SCHS they left a part of themselves which has become a part of us. Though they have retired, memories of them still linger. The inspirations and insights they left still cling to us. We dedicate the annual to them this year because we love them for loving us. Those were our school days, our happy days. They were real because we made them real. They were alive because we existed. And then, as suddenly as they had dawned, they faded into the less care- free days of adulthood. And finally they are now gone . . . those happy days in school. 28 Joye Miller, Reporter; Kathy Drake, Vice-President; Jimmy Mann, President; Kathy King, Treasurer Around the corner are the unknown days of tomorrow. There have been some rough times when pride was lack- ing during practice, but by performance time everything needed was right in place. R. Strick- land Being in the band and captain of the silks has taught me that hard work Is required if one is to ever receive pleasure.” C. Hodges As Drum Majorette, my one goal was to make the '74-'75 Marching Indians the best band in our school's history. I feel like we achieved this through our hard work and pride. K. At various class meetings, we accomplished much. The senior class ordered invitations for what they believe will be the most imponant graduation ever! Selling maga- zines, Seniors set a new goal for everyone else to shoot for. After what seemed like eternity to them, the Seniors were measured for caps and gowns. The Juniors selected some rather unique class rings proclaiming them as the Spirit of '76 . 89 At SCHS, we made new friends and renewed old friendships. We worked and played together to make the best school - Seminole County High - better. With vim and vigor, we cheered our beloved Indians on to victory with chants of, We’re number 1. This year the football team repeated as region champions and were also crowned Class A Area Champs for the first time in history of SCHS. We cheered the girls' basketball team on to another successful season and were delighted to see the boys' basketball team regain a winning warpath. One of the beauties of SCHS is that students are not lost in a crowd. To those who were willing to put forth extra effort, special recognition came. After breaking all records by rushing for 1,915 yards with 30 touchdowns, Jerryl was voted our Most Valuable Player, All-Area Back of the Year, and A11-State Class A Back of the Year. Due to these accomplishments, a unique honor was bestowed upon Jerryl when number 22 was retired. Special attention was granted to majorettes, cheerleaders, and other basket- ball and football players. Joye demonstrated twirling with a fire baton to a select audi- ence. SCHS applauded those who made special academic achievements. Others performed thankless, but necessary, jobs. We were encouraged, not discouraged, to do our own thing. Now, as the time grows near for us to go our own separate ways, remember - We may never pass this way again. C 1973 Dawnbreaker Music Company Used by permission only.
