“
What can you tell me about this place called SC MS? But not everything?! The 1969 Indian Staff wishes to pay special tribute to Mr. J. B. Jenkins for his devoted service to Seminole County High School during his seventeen years as principal and two years as a member of the faculty. During his years as principal, he led Seminole County High School through many periods of change, adjustment, transi- tion ... and growth. He kept a firm hand on the operation at all times, ana the general public, especially those close to the educational programs, learned to admire and appreciate his real sense of dedication and loyalty to his task. Mr. Jenkins had a tough” job, and he did it well. He had to enforce rules and regulations, and he had to maintain discipline. He faced each challenge head on, meeting each time of decision with a strength that came from careful delibera- tion, then simple resolution and determination. These are qualities for which students, teachers, and other citizens still admire him. Mr. Jenkins focuses his main interest and attention toward the basics of education and the fundamentals of academic learning, never being led away from his goal by extracurricular interests; although he is certainly interested in sports and other school, civic, social, and religious activities. In fact, he coached our 1969 Debate Team to the Region Championship. To the students of Seminole County High School, Mr. Jenkins is known as our math teacher. He is always willing to take time out to help a student with his math or any other worthwhile problem. We’ve all learned to love and admire him. The 1969 Annual Staff and Seminole County High School are grateful to him for what he has done for us during the past nineteen years of hard, faithful work. In appreciation for such devoted service, the 1969 Annual Staff proudly dedicates this 1969 Indian to Mr. J. B. Jenkins. SCMS Js J Place With Zimes of Wonder Wonder how many are really studying.
