They have devoted many hours of their time over many mat- ters concerning the welfare of the school. Selma High School is very fortunate to have such outstanding men working in their behalf. Through this, the 1949 Magnet, the student body and faculty wish to extend their heartfelt thanks to these men. 9 S7 The student council's first big job was handing out claims to gold miners, at Selma Memorial lfield, while the gold rush was on during football season. All organi- zations that applied brought back gold dust to meet their needs. The council also made it possible for some of the football boys to go to the annual 20-30 Club football banquet by sponsoring a student council dance. The poor weary prospectors on the council appreciate the cooperation of the student body and the community.
